Resumo
No Brasil, os vínculos entre direito e tradução aparecem desde seus primórdios a partir do plano técnico-jurídico da tradução (legislação aplicada à profissão de tradutor e à prática da tradução). A história da tradução no Brasil é caracterizada pela farta regulamentação referente à tradução, fenômeno que pode ser denominado “juridicização da tradução”. O tradutor juramentado, submetido às Juntas Comerciais dos Estados Federados, é parte e marco dessa história, e representa o elo mais conhecido entre tradução e direito.

Abstract
The links between law and translation in Brazil started to appear with the existence of the technical-juridical translation plan (a body of laws applied to the profession, and to the practice of translation). The history of translation in Brazil is characterized by extensive regulations concerning translation, a phenomenon that can be called the “jurisdification of translation”. The translator who takes the oath and is submitted to the Trade Boards of the Federation of States is a part of, and a landmark in this history, representing the best known link between translation and law.
